PROJECT SUMMARY
Our project will involve integrating all agricultural activities, with a primary focus on crop production, livestock farming, and other related activities aimed at increasing production.
Thus, we expect that after three years, we will create job opportunities for numerous young people on the streets.
Additionally, we aim to offer food services to special groups such as orphans, the elderly, and the disabled.
More often than not, our project will facilitate the establishment of strong relationships with various individuals and companies, both domestically and internationally, through the marketing and sale of our products.
Through these anticipated outcomes, the organization will be able to positively impact the community by providing various social services that will ultimately enhance the overall social welfare of the community. Parents and young people will receive a salary from the organization to assist them in meeting various basic needs within their families.
By doing this, children will be able to attend school, find suitable housing, and live in good neighborhoods. Furthermore, transporting raw materials and products will contribute to the enhancement of infrastructure in the community. In addition to these expectations, there will be a contribution to developing the country's economy by providing an abundance of high-quality food, which will enhance the quality of life.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
The organization has many goals, one of which is to increase the availability of food in both quantity and quality. As explained by the Organization of Tanzania Food Security and Nutrition Analysis System (2017), there is still a large number of people in Tanzania, including infants, who suffer from a high level of food insecurity. Also, young people aged eighteen and older are facing malnutrition due to a lack of sufficient food and nutrients. Thus, the organization has a vested interest in assisting the government in its overarching responsibility to combat and prevent malnutrition while enhancing access to food.
The project aims to align with the current President of Tanzania's vision of "Industrial Tanzania," which encourages all Tanzanians to strive and excel in establishing diverse industries to advance towards a middle-income economy. Thus, our organization aims to foster economic growth through the production of our products and enhance social services by providing assistance to underprivileged individuals, the disabled, and other vulnerable groups. The association aims to enhance people's skills through training. This includes training instructors, educating students in farm activities, and working with various groups to enhance the agricultural sector, often considered the backbone of the country's economy. There is a strategy that, after a certain time,
The organization aims to produce food throughout the entire region of Tabora and in other regions within and outside the country. The organization aims to change the negative attitudes of the community by encouraging them to work hard and participate in implementing modern agriculture with the use of professional equipment. By doing so, street youth will be guaranteed various opportunities to develop themselves in personal activities. Finally, the organization is looking to plant enough trees to maintain and preserve the environment and reduce various environmental problems. Additionally, planting trees can help mitigate other environmental impacts, such as floods and soil erosion.
STRATEGIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
The organization expects to have the following strategies and performance measures.
Establishment of the organization's office: The establishment of the office will anchor the organization within a physical space, serving as a recognizable identity for individuals to locate and understand where the organization operates. The office will be used for all office-related tasks, including administrative and coordination purposes.
Another strategy involves planning the schedule for when and how to begin cultivating the fields thoroughly. This program will involve constructing farm infrastructure, including the irrigation system, cleaning and pruning fields, planting crops, and managing the farm as a whole. There will also be the construction of chicken coops, as well as preparing a place to store work tools.
General management of farm crops and livestock involves a strategy that encompasses all farm crops. This strategy aims to prevent damage caused by insects by applying special pesticides and ensuring proper storage.
The final strategy to be employed is ensuring access to a secure market. The market is utilized throughout the process of selling both seasonal and non-seasonal produce. Thus, to ensure that the organization conducts its daily activities effectively, a strategy will be implemented to identify the optimal season for selling the produce. This will involve analyzing the period when the produce fetches a price that benefits both the customer and the seller.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION METHODS
The organization has strong project implementation methods, as described below.
Role-sharing system: In this system, each partner will be assigned specific responsibilities to participate in all daily activities. There will be legal provisions that aim to enhance discipline and foster a culture of hard work and transparency.
The Use of Modern Agricultural Tools Therefore, we plan to implement contour farming and irrigation techniques, along with practices like fertilization. We also aim to modernize chicken farming by utilizing methods such as the "LITTER CAGE."
The organization plans to establish a warehouse for storing crops to prolong their shelf life and protect them from damage by insects. Also, we will need to have all the necessary medicines for the preservation of eggs, meat, and meat processing.
STRONG REASONS FOR SUCCESS
In order to ensure that the organization operates independently and without economic instability, the following factors will be observed throughout its operation:
Efficiency in the operation of all the organization's activities is crucial. This efficiency will be achieved by ensuring that all tasks are carried out and completed according to the organization's schedule.
WORKFORCE WITH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
To be successful in any endeavor, a skilled workforce is crucial for carrying out all tasks effectively. Therefore, the organization aims to invite individuals with greater knowledge and experience in agricultural activities to enhance each task's execution without compromising quality.
l Manufacturing more and better products: One of the key factors contributing to the success of our organization will be the production of high-quality products in sufficient quantities. By doing so, it will be easy to sell our products at any time and help the company develop itself.
l Taking good care of crops is crucial as they are the primary indicator of profit or loss in the organization. Therefore, to ensure profitability, the produce must be stored properly until it is taken to the market and sold at a fair price.
In explaining who will benefit from our organization, the following groups will benefit the most from our project;.
Community:
The primary beneficiary group will be the community at large because the establishment of this organization is driven by the community's needs. Thus, the community will benefit in various ways, such as access to good food, job opportunities, social and economic services like infrastructure, and participation in seminars. Therefore, from these explanations, it is clear that the community is the primary beneficiary group.
Local governments will have the responsibility to collect taxes on our organization, which will lead to an increase in government revenue collection. Hence, the government is perceived as the secondary beneficiary of our project.
The organization itself will benefit greatly from the opportunity to collaborate with various institutions and organizations that share the same goals as ours. We hope to collaborate with various individuals from both within and outside Tanzania.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION PLAN
The organization has numerous initiatives to oversee all its activities, as outlined below:
The organization intends to acquire new technological devices to streamline the communication system within the organization. For example, the company has a robust plan to establish a website, blog, and email system to provide various individuals with the opportunity to explore these communication channels. This will enable them to learn more about agricultural products and activities. Additionally, it will serve as a platform to place orders and offer educational resources to those in need.
In the entire evaluation process, the organization plans to assess itself every three months to shed light on its progress from the beginning to the current stage. This is the only place where the organization introspects, identifies its current position, assesses possibilities and limitations, and provides a comprehensive overview of its future direction.
CONTINUOUS PLANS
The organization has plans to ensure access to financial services and prevent losses that may lead to economic decline. The organization plans not only to rely on the crops produced within the organization but also to purchase crops from other institutions when they are being sold at a lower price. After buying, the crops will be stored until a certain period when they will be sold at a reasonable price. This will provide the organization with a small profit to help sustain its operations. In chicken farming, a special machine called an incubator is used for hatching eggs. This equipment helps to increase the number of chickens, making it easier to sell them. Therefore, all of these factors will help facilitate the sustainable planning of our organization.
