DRAWING, EMBROIDERY,CUTTING AND SEWING TRAINING:
SEWING TRAINING
Sewing training is crucial, especially for young people and women in the western and southern regions of Tanzania. These areas suffer from high unemployment rates, as there are few industries to provide job opportunities. Many young people have completed their education and are in need of skills that can help them secure employment. Sewing training can empower individuals to start their own businesses or to seek employment in the garment industry. By providing this type of training, we can contribute to the economic growth of these regions and help young people and women become self-sufficient.
With the urgency to learn how to sew clothes, a student in either seventh or fourth grade has shown a strong desire to acquire this skill. Recognizing the significance of this need, the "Farmers Solidarity for Agricultural and Social Development" organization (SOPADAS) has decided to initiate tailoring training. The aim of this program is to serve and support the community, particularly those from lower economic backgrounds, by offering affordable tailoring training. This initiative is a step towards empowering individuals with the necessary skills to not only support themselves but also contribute to the development of their community. Through this training, SOPADAS hopes to make a positive impact by providing opportunities for personal and economic growth to those who may otherwise have limited access to such resources.
